STEP 4: BRANDING YOU

There are over one million Realtors in America. How does one differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack? We all have been given talents to use in this world. What is yours? This step is very crucial on your real estate career? Why? This step will aid you in developing Brand You. Two things to achieve in your marketing efforts is to develop direct response today and develop a brand over time. People will associate your brand with customer service, success and truth. This is achieved over time and by completing several transactions successfully. People will associate your brand directly back to you. For example, I created a brand such as "Credit Scary, Call Harry." I was known for connecting two people together and creating a lease purchase. Please visit my site at www.JustRentToOwn.com. I was very successful at this first brand that I created for myself.

Please follow this 10 Steps On Branding You

  1. Research the market
  2. Define your branding strategy
  3. Bring other people to brainstorm
  4. Create long term plan
  5. Incorporate technology to be successful
  6. Count the cost at all times
  7. Spread the word
  8. Measure your performance on weekly basis
  9. Consistency
  10. Do not give up

The Realtormust put the brand on every piece of marketing material so that everyone can relate the brand back to you. That means you have to create one image and one message and keep it consistent so it builds momentum. Marketing materials include letterhead, Email signatures, postcards, newsprint ads, radio commercials and so on. Be consistent and communicate to the world about your brand. If you build it, then they will come.

Here are my 5 Reasons For Branding You

  1. Creates public awareness of you and your product
  2. Creates sales
  3. Creates momentum
  4. Creates synergy with your clients
  5. Creates a better chance your customers will remember you

Consistency is a big part of branding yourself. If you change from this niche to that niche on a whim you will confuse your potential clients and lose the business that you would possibly gain.
