Many Americans are wondering when this stimulus will start working. Unemployment is soaring up to 10% and people are losing their jobs. This is the highest unemployment rate since 1983. We have foreclosures rampant all over America. Mortgage fraud along with Ponzi schemes starting to surface in the newspapers. Does the current Administration have what it takes to turn this economy around? Many Americans are asking this same question this morning over breakfast.
President Obama insists that the $787 billion package will work. However, it will need more time to be spent on rebuilding the infrastructure such as roads, bridges, sewer systems, schools and other public projects needed around the country. The ongoing recession and higher job losses are starting to question if President Obama has what it takes to run this country. Campaigning is over. It is time to start taking action and rebuild America.
The share of Americans who believe the stimulus package will restore the economy slipped to 52 percent in late June, down from 59 percent two months earlier, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.

We all love polls. However, this same one shows Americans continue to lose confidence as time goes on. The Republicans say that the stimulus package is not working as planned. Senate Republican Leader Mich McConnell said on Friday the stimulus plan "was a failure." TRUTH OR NOT?
Vice President Joe Biden said the administration had "misread" how bad the economy was when it took office cited: http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSTRE56A0VR20090711

This one of very few things that I agree with Obama on. I head reread that news article to make sure the headline was right!
We are hanging. . and we are hoping that something will happen soon. .
Why is it the folks who got us in this mess are the first to criticize the president when he makes the hard decisions needed to get this great country back on track ?
It sells newspapers. WE have hope
It used to be change. Now it's hope. What's next and how long? I'm sure that I am not the only one here that has heard it from clients, friends and family.
I read recently that only 15-18% of the stimulus money has actually been spent. I think the funds have to be spent for the program to be successful.
First off the Inspector General of The Federal Reserve said she has no idea where trillions of dollars of tax payers money went. So how can we have stimulus money when no one knows where it is?
Unless you are employed by the government or bid on government work, you are seeing little to no stimulus money. It would have been a whole lot simpler just to tell everyone that they would pay no income taxes, social security taxes, cigarette taxes, gas taxes, etc. to the federal government for 6 months or so. Then everyone would get a piece of the pie.
Hi Harry
People in the country are hanging and starting to blue.
Good luck and success.
