REALTOR DID NOT MAKE THE TOP 5 CAREER LIST IN 2009

The list below shows the top 5 professions for 2009:

1.   Physician Assistant

2.   Physical and Occupational Therapist

3.   Medical Science Liaison (Pharmaceutical)

4.   Account Director (Internet and Sales Marketing)

5.   Information Technicians (SQL Database Administrators) and Software Developers

It seems the medical and computer field will always be great professions at time continue on. More and more people are getting older that require medical assistance. Phoenix, AZ is becoming a big medical hub because many older people are coming here to retire. There people are demanding medical attention form the community. They need services to live their lives. Many of these people have great medical benefits and have money to retire on.

The computer field is another hot industry. People with computer skills will always be in need as our society becomes more reliant on technology.

What does that mean for real estate? I have started two investment groups that cater to both these fields. I am starting with a few people in each investor group. The people like the group. I have three deals at this point sold as investment properties.

I would encourage you to start a specialized investing group to cater to one of these fields.

Commission positions do not usually make these lists. Too bad, lots of highly qualified people never learn about the opportunities in real estate.

Great way to think outside the box and still actively pursue real estate with those professions.

Harry...

I would love to have a career with a weekly paycheck ... and I'm pretty good around a computer. Maybe I need to revise my resume.

I don't think when people come out of school they aspire to be a  realtor. I think people gradually work their way into it or use it as a 2nd career. Funny I am pushing my daughter to be a PA!!
