TOP 10 WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT

It is that time of year to have fun in the sun. I am sure we have all been invited to someones graduation party this time of year. Plus, we still have July 4th and Labor Day celebrations coming up which means more food. We all like to eat food. We all have our favorite foods. However, me must have self-control or we will become out of control.

Here are my Top 10 Ways to Lose Weight:

  1. Start eating more fruits and vegetables
  2. Stop eating out at fast food restaurants such as McDonald's Super Size the meal or you?
  3. Exercise more
  4. Obtain an accountability partner while losing weight
  5. Hire a dietitian
  6. Doctor check ups routinely while on the diet
  7. Cut out drinking soda such as Coke or Pepsi
  8. Keep busy to avoid down time
  9. Cut back on watching television
  10. Cut back on alcohol drinks

I hope these tips help everyone get in better shape. My family has starting eating more fruits and vegetables and riding bikes twice per week. We need to stay healthy in the game of real because we cannot afford to be sick. BE HEALTHY!

Harry, this spring I trained for and ran/walked a half marathon. That helped me to drop close to 10 pounds. There was a goal and a side benefit!

All great ideas to help you but I'd also add:  write down your goal weight, your goal size, number of inches to lose, (whatever your personal goal is)  and by which date you'd like to achieve it.  It might be that you need to set a few smaller goals such as lose 10% of your weight by ...........................

My husband weighs 234 today.  He  we want to focus on him losing 10% or 23 pounds by the end of July.  I'd like for him to maintain that loss and stay at 211 for a short while before taking on the next challenge.  He'll then try another 10% or 21 pounds to reach 190 pounds.  I think that it doable by Christmas.  (Men lose weight so much quicker than women)  And then to lose another 10% would be too much for his frame but another 10 pounds could be reached before spring of 2010.  So 10/10/10 by spring 2010 !

The important part is to remember the goal itself is written in stone, the time to achieve it is in sand.  Nobody is a failure as long as they continue to try!

Hi Harry.  You might consider adding these 2 to your list:

Eat nothing but strawberries for 2 weeks (worked for me and was fun!)

Switch from diet sodas to regular (yup, there was a recent article on this)
