I have written a few blogs about garage sales. Garage sales are a great way to meet people in the neighborhood and the owner of the house. I must ask questions as a Realtor. Here are some questions that I ask the owner of the house:
- How long have you owned the home?
- Why the garage sale, today?
- Do you intend to sell your house?
These three questions enable me to develop conversation about real estate. Now, I am not going to obtain a lead at each garage sale. However, I can give them a card and call me first if they want to sell thier house or purchase investment real estate. It is all about first impressions.
