The real estate market continues to be a roller coaster in America. Bank owned properties still dominate the majority of sales in all major markets. People continue to lose their job or forced with salary reduction. People are facing no hope for the future. Millions of people have stopped paying their mortgage. I am sure we have heard of people not paying their mortgage and living in the house rent free for more than a year. 70% of the homes that go into foreclosure the seller never contacted a professional to see assistance. People do not know who to call during crisis time.
Many agents in my local market are not experienced in short sales, bank owned properties, purchasing from trustee sales, pre-foreclosures, knocking on doors to obtain business, private money, or lease options. Wow, this is a normal day for me. I did not learn these sets of skills overnight. I learned them over a period of time. So, I have marketed myself both to investors and to distressed property owners to increase my personal business.

We must be changing as the customers needs change. We have two more years left of ARMS adjusting along with declining home values. People will need more experts in the field to service their needs. Furthermore, investors want to take their money out of Wall Street to invest in Main Street-real estate. Are you prepared to take advantage of the opportunities in front of you?
I encourage all agents to follow the money to obtain the necessary skills to service the millions of customers that need your skill set.
