Many people are still down with the economy. More people are losing their jobs while the unemployment is over 10% at this current time. People do not feel safe at their jobs. Companies continue to let people go, forcing employees to take time off and reducing salaries by 20% or more. Workers do not feel safe at their jobs. People are cutting back on their spending, paying off debt and saving more money. I believe it is called "Getting Back To Basics."
America has been on crack cocaine with people dipping into their equity two or three times as house values continued to skyrocket a few years back. Real estate forecasters kept telling people that the market was going to continue to increase. My grandpa said "What ever goes up must come down." We knew house values were going to come down. However, we did not know the time and date. The picture to the right of us is an example of a tsunami wave as it comes unexpected as shown. The foreclosure wave continues to come as a tsunami wave. We continue to deal with the foreclosure storm on a monthly basis. We need to spend our way out of this economic problem. We need to create more American jobs so people have confidence in the economy.

The people who are the hardest hit are those families making less than$30,000 per year. I am assuming that these people are living paycheck to paycheck so any little differences can ruin them financially as is the case at the present time with the record breaking number of foreclosures. American families are stressed out financially during this who financial debacle. Who do you point the finger to blame for this whole mess? We all love to blame someone else for our current problems. However, we must stand up and take the punishment and do not run away from your problems. You are not alone in this financial mess.
Here are my Top 5 Reasons Why Couples Fight Over Money
- No plan in place
- Husband hides money from the wife
- Debt
- Upside down in mortgage
- No retirement savings
These are big obstacles to overcome for a couple all alone. I would advise couples to seek third party advice from certified financial planner, accountant, or someone who you know that is great with their finances to seek assistance to turning financial woes around. However, couples are too proud to ask for help worrying they might be looked down upon from others. Get over it! I would advise to start asking for help before it is too late.
