"MAY I LOOK INSIDE THIS HOME?" PLEASE RESPOND
I was showing homes to a first time home buyer that came my way from the radio show. He wants to purchase a home before the deadline to receive the $8,000 tax credit. This will be his first time owning home after twenty years. We looked at five homes that day. I thought I would share this incident with everyone.
I was looking up the second home on our list to show. Then, a man approached me with his son. He asked me if I could let him in the house to view it. He said it would not take very long. Now, he was a well dressed man. I said, "No, I am with my customer at this moment. Would you like to make an appointment with me?" He informed me that he was working with a Realtor. I said, "Then, I am sure you want your Realtor to show you this home." I was not being rude. He had a look of dissatisfaction. However, that would of been very unprofessional to make my customer wait while I show the house to another client. What if my client wanted to make an offer on the house? Where does Agency fall in?
