MAKE A LUNCH APPOINTMENT FROM FACEBOOK REALLY?
It was just another normal day for me in the morning where I do my social networking activities over a fresh cup of coffee. I spend about fifteen minutes on Facebook. Then, I proceeded to do my ActiveRain activities. I left my Facebook account open that morning. I noticed someone requested to be my friend who lived in my hometown. Yes, I did accept his friendship. He now lives in the same city as me. So, we posted a few things on the board. Then, another person posted saying she was from the same area. I hinted we should get some wings together. Voila, the time and place was set with thirty minutes that morning. It was a done deal. The lunch appointment was set with five people who do not know each other. This will be fun.
So, we had our two our lunch with five fellow Buffalonians. I found out one person sells home warranties, two of them are Realtors like myself, and the final person was setting up his own software company after being in the mortgage business for nineteen years. It felt like we had known each other for a very long time. So, the one girl thought I knew the other person. I informed her that I just met her for the first time today. She would not believe me. Then, we went to discuss how social networking has changed how we meet other people in today's society. Overall, I had a great time. I have added five more people to my sphere of influence.
Facebook is just another social media medimum to meet people online. Take advantage of it today.
It was a great day.

The power of Social Media is just AWESOME. It is amazing to me how many people that we can connect with on any given day on the Internet. Social media sites are getting bigger each day as more and more people sign up for Facebook and other well know sites. Why? The answer is real simple:MONEY. We must follow the money if we are going to survive in business. Huge corporations are gaining an Internet presence to stay ahead of the competition.
