Commerce Department announced new homes and apartments increased by 3.6%. This is great news coming from Washington DC. Rumor has it that the real estate market is starting to dig itself out of the hole. Really? We have a far way to go until that happens. We have not declared the bottom of the real estate. Some markets are still decreasing in price. New home permits to build residential homes increased by 8.7% in June. Both of these projections were a surprise to everyone in the market. Many believe because of low rates and the $8,000 tax credit were the main contributors for this successful month.
