STEP 7: CREATING YOUR OWN TEAM

 GO TEAM

Congratulations! You have made it to Step 7 in my Series ob 7 STEPS TO BECOMING A ROCK STAR REALTOR. The last six steps are there to assist any Realtor for the next two years of their career. Now, one must decide on assembling their own team to really make a difference in the real estate world. Personally, I waited four years before assembling my team. Then, I waited an additional two more years before setting up my own real estate brokerage company. Everything takes time and has its place. One must celebrate the victories in their life to build up to this moment.

  1. Rainmaker-Create a system to generate leads to pass out to team members.
  2. Create Your Own Business-Make It Happen
  3. Passive Income-Income coming in on a monthly basis
  4. Duplicate Yourself
  5. Better Equipped To Assist More Clients

The best book written to establish a real estate team is "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent" by Gary Keller.I have based my entire business model off of this book.  Why recreate the wheel? The time, money and research has been spent to create a system that only one has to implement. Again, real estate is a contact sport. That means we need people in our business to make things happen. We must communicate our needs to other people and act upon them. This process will not happen over night. It has taken me three years to get to my level in the business.

The book describes 4 Major Fundamental Models for Real Estate Sales

  1. Your Economic Model
  2. Your Lead Generation Model
  3. Your Budget Model
  4. Your Organizational Model

Please refer to the link for further discussion on these four fundamentals listed above  "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent" by Gary Keller. The part that I llike the best are the 3 L's of real estate

  1. Leads
  2. Listings
  3. Leverage

This is very true. I come from a retail background. So, a store must have the correct inventory to make sales. The same is true in real estate. Listings generate phone calls that turn into leads. Then, the leads turn into closed transactions. One must have the correct systems and procedures in place to make it to a higher level. The book is excellent when it comes to explaining and implementing systems and procedures to grow ones real estate business.

The book states that you only need to hire three key personnel from becoming a millionaire in real estate. I truly believe this statement. I am searching for two more members to join my team. Then, I will be well on my way to the next level. However, it must be the right two people. I know they are out there.

Another great book to read is "Good To Great" by Jim Collins. You must get the right person in the right seat on the bus. Then, you can go anywhere with this philosophy in business.

Buy Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't on amazon.com

Finally, I have written this series to assist other agents who are brand new in the field of real estate. Make the best out of it. Remember, this is your business. You are totally responsible for everything. That will excite you to make it happen. I wish you the best in creating your DREAM TEAM in REAL ESTATE. Have fun and enjoy the ride to the top.

 WIN!

TOP 10 REASONS WHY I BELIEVE IN HAVING A MENTOR READ TODAY

  PRICELESS!

I have been in the real estate industry for the past seven years. I spent the first fourteen years in corporate America. I was thrown into the real estate industry. However, I knew I had to obtain a mentor in order to survive in real estate. I needed someone to teach me the ropes. Real estate is very competitive. Many agents do not like to teach other new agents based on creating more competition in the field. Why? That was my question. There is enough business for everyone in this field. Senior agents brag about their knowledge. However, they are not willing to share it. Has anyone else experienced this practice?

Here were my Top 10 Reasons for obtaining a Mentor in Real Estate:

  1. Professional-Learn from a pro who has been in the business for ten years or more to obtain the same knowledge.
  2. Accountability-My mentor keep me honest with myself at each level. Quit the Long Ranger mentality.
  3. Focus-Mentor teaches you how to balance work and life as you start the real estate career.
  4. Questions-Mentors are there for you to ask as many questions as possible to increase experience.
  5. Mistakes-A good mentor will help you avoid rookie mistakes or walk you through a rookie mistake that happened in order not to do it, again.
  6. Goals-Mentor will help you set realistic goals to achieve.
  7. Best Interest- Mentor has your best interest in mind. Mentor wants to see you succeed.
  8. Investments-Mentor will walk you through a good real estate investment. This will save you money to avoid investing in the next big thing
  9. Network-A good mentor has an established Network in place for one to use in real estate. You do not have to create the wheel.
  10. Compass-Mentor will keep you going in the right direction at all times. A mentor will help you stay on course even when you want to quit.

I hop these reasons that I mention above motivate you to obtain your mentor this year. I would advise not to wait any longer. The real estate market will only become more competitive. The main reasons for me to obtain a mentor were #1,2, and 8.

WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER IN REAL ESTATE!
