Sheriff Joe Arpaio is famous worldwide for his toughness when it comes to enforcing the law. He is well known for pink underwear and enforcing illegal immigration laws here in the Great Phoenix Metropolitan area. Well, he got in the news for purchasing the bus for $456,000. Who says criminals do not ride in luxury? He stated that it was a necessary purchase for transporting criminals. However, there was a freeze on all major purchases. So, he went and bought it without approval. He must ask for permission to add it to the County fleet. This has now become a bone between two authorities. Currently, the bus is parked until it can obtain tags and be approved by upper authorities. It is all about the money. However, the bus will make it easier to transport criminals to court on a timely basis.
