I TURNED 52 TODAY BUT YOU LOOK SO YOUNG FOR YOUR AGE

My co-host on the radio turned 52 on Saturday. I wished him Happy Birthday on air. Then, I announced that I was turning 52 on Sunday. He looked at me with a funny expression. He said there is no way you are turning 52 tomorrow. Again, I told him that I was turning 52. I paused for another ten seconds to egg him on.

Finally, I announced on my radio show that I will be #52 out of 200,000 ActiveRain member list accomplished in less than two years.

Again, I continually use my ActiveRain blogging as part of my marketing campaign. I have received many compliments on my blog posts regarding real estate investing. 

Finally, I blog for SEO that will increase my real estate business. The points do not really concern me at this point in my blogging career. I use it more for marketing purposes to obtain more real estate investor clients for my business.

I am here to write my first blog for 2010. I was reflecting on 2009. It was quite the roller coaster in real estate around America. We have witnessed many shifts in the real estate market. It seems short sales and bank foreclosures dominated every local market. So, we all had to learn short sales and bank foreclosures. The same will be true for 2010. Be ready to thrive in 2010.

I started to really start blogging in April of 2009. I was one of those real estate agents that did not really understand the importance of blogging. I thought of every excuse not to blog such as

1. I do not have the time
2. Nobody will read my blogs
3. I have nothing to say
4. That will not help me obtain clients
5. Blogging is for losers

I am sure I can continue with the list above of all the reasons not to blog. However, I decided to give it a shot for six months. I have devotedly have spent 90 minutes per day on my social media plan. Yes, I develop 100% of my own material. I have to admit that I have become addicted to it. I was sold on blogging in the first two weeks. Then, I started to get the phone calls from my posts. Then, those clients turned into deals. One day I received a call from this guy named Bob from ActiveRain. He called me personally to tell me I write quality content and to keep up the great job. Well, I found out that Bob was one of the original members who started ActiveRain.

OK-I am in it to WIN IT. SOLD ON ACTIVERAIN BLOGGING.

2. First couple of sentences must be interesting enough so people want to read it

4. Write about your own experiences so other people can learn from it

6. Proofread it and Spell-check to avoid errors
7. Include bullet points and numbers so people can can obtain information faster
8. Link like a mad man
9. Keywords throughout the post
10. Drink Coffee

I have been a member of ActiveRain since April of 2009. I was invited by a friend of mine in the business. I gave everty excuse in the book not to blog. Here were some of my excuses:

• No time to blog
• What am I going to write about?
• Who is going to read my article?
• What is ActiveRain all about?
• I do not see the value in it

Well, I have overcome all the objections mentioned above. I am hooked on blogging. It is amazing how much content that is in my head. I really do enjoy writing. I wrote a research paper every week during my graduate studies so I developed a business writing style that was easy to read. I have developed the same type of writing on AR.
